Inspiration from the “#1 Top Company to Work For” by Fortune Magazine
I recently attended ISPA in Austin, TX where I heard lots of great speakers and was totally inspired! JP Pawlin-Frye, Ram Charan, Lance Armstrong, Guy Kawasaki just to name a few and they were all great. There was one that really stood out for me, Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos.com. Zappos.com was named #1 in the Fortune Magazine Top 100 companies to work for.
A few of his key points:
1.What are today’s consumers really looking for? Intimately understand the customer you are trying to get.
2.How will you innovate your business? Ask yourself that every day.
Happiness instead of luxury.
3.Authenticity is the key element for success
4.Stick to your core values/guiding principles and only hire people that their personal values align.
5.Are you focused more on Managing or Leading?
